IMPORTANT NOTICE – IPL MATCHES IN CCI

GUIDELINES ON ENTRY, SEATING PLAN AND SECURITY RESTRICTIONS DURING  IPL MATCHES

Dear Members,

1.  You are aware that the following seven IPL matches are being played in CCI:

2.  All possible arrangements are being made to optimise the available space on all the four floors to accommodate maximum number of members. However, in view of enhanced threat perception, stringent security measures are being enforced by the Police authorities on the match days. This necessitates curtailment of usual access and facilities in the clubhouse. The Executive Committee has, therefore, approved the following:

·         No Guest would be permitted in the clubhouse on the days of the match.

·         Entry to the CCI complex for matches would be strictly against membership cards, as well as, special entry coupons.

·         Access to clubhouse would be available only to members, excluding Temporary, Reciprocal, Sports, as well as, Defaulting Members. Members keen to watch the matches are requested to collect entry coupons (free of charge) for the matches they are interested in between 10.30 AM and 5.30 PM, as follows:

- 12^th March 2010 for match on 13^th March 2010

- 17^th March 2010 onwards (except holidays) for the rest of the matches

·         Multiple counters are being set up near the swimming pool entrance. It is to be noted that membership cards are to be produced for collection of coupons. Duplicate entry coupons would NOT be issued.

·         Members’ spouse/dependants/children would be accommodated in Block 1 of West Stand only. Out of available 1929 seats, 1500 are being earmarked for spouse/dependants/children and the rest for members.  Nominal charges for seating, printing of entry coupons and other administrative arrangements would be Rs. 350/- per entry coupon for Members’ spouse/dependant/children. A member could purchase upto a maximum of two such entry coupons per match on FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS, one day prior to the match from the same coupon counters, against membership cards.  

·         Entry to Block 1 West Stand would be through Gate 2 / Coffee shop entrance. Clubhouse entry would be through Gate no. 3.

·         This is the first time that successful arrangements are being made to accommodate children with their parents for witnessing the matches.

·         All others (except staff on essential duty), if at all present in the clubhouse for whatsoever reason, must vacate the premises 4 hours before commencement of match to facilitate security checks.

·         Bags, bottles, camera, package of any kind etc are strictly not allowed to be carried.

·         No vehicle would be allowed entry or parking in the premises 4 hours before start of the match to meet security requirements. Unauthorisedly parked vehicles will be towed away by the Traffic Police. 

·         In view of enhanced threat perception and resultant very strict security arrangements by Mumbai Police, all movements in the clubhouse area as well as the entire CCI premises would be subject to physical checks, identification and verification procedures. All members are requested to take note of this inescapable requirement and co-operate.

·         To obviate last minute rush and crowding, as well as, to get better viewing facilities, members are encouraged to reach the entry point at least two hours in advance.  

·         Adequate Plasma TV sets are being installed to facilitate match viewing at different points in the clubhouse.

·         Food & beverage facilities in all members’ areas, including Block 1, are also being arranged against cash coupons.   

·         There shall be no lunch service on 13^th March and 13^th April 2010.

• On account of match activities and attendant security requirements, there would be certain amount of curtailment in the sports activities. Details of such restrictions would be communicated through specific notices on the relevant Notice Boards.

• Changes to these arrangements or further details, if any,  would be promulgated through Notice Boards in the clubhouse.  

3.   Hearty co-operation  is solicited from all members to make this first of its kind mega event a success.
